BLIND SEAM
The blind seam offers an incredibly clean look by concealing the stitching completely between panels of upholstery cover. This discrete seam allows the focus to remain on the seating style and upholstery cover material being used.
TOP STITCH
This decorative stitching detail utilises an additional clean line of thread (running parallel to the original blind seam). The thread colour can be matched to the upholstery cover, or a contrasting colour can be used. A top stitch also adds extra strength to the seam.
SADDLE STITCH
Saddle stitches work particularly well with leathers to create a luxury look. The thread colour can be matched to the upholstery cover, or a contrasting colour can be used on either of the two decorative stitches to make a design statement.
SLOT SEAM
Slot seams provide an added point of interest with their inner slot, which can be in a matching material to the main upholstery cover or a contrasting one. Thread colours used can either be matched to the upholstery cover, a contrasting colour, or something completely different.
PIPED SEAMS
Piping can be used to highlight a distinctive seam, lines, or to define the shape of a design. This can be seen in our Square Pleated' back seating style. A double piped seam is two rows of piping next to each other along the same seam. This can be used to create a classy, high-end look.
EMBROIDERY
Why not reinforce your corporate identity by incorporating your branding into your seating? We can design furniture with your company colours in mind and add embroidered logos directly into the upholstery cover. It's a unique, memorable way to express your business to customers or clients.
BESPOKE STITCHING
For truly one-of-a-kind seating, we can stitch custom details and patterns into your upholstery cover to suit your design requirements. Think geometric patterns, clean lines, and more.
SEWN-IN FLUTES
Sewn-in/Stitch Fluting is much more subtle than other fluting techniques. They offer a sophisticated and highly customisable style, where flute widths can be made any size required (great for narrower flutes).
QUILTING
Diagonal, intersecting lines of stitching form elegant diamonds for the distinct and iconic quilted look. Customise the shape and size of the diamonds, or why not opt for a double stitch for added luxury?
MIXED UPHOLSTERY COVERS
With so many ranges of fabrics, leathers, and softcovers to choose from, you may decide to incorporate different shades or styles of material within the same upholstery cover. The seam can also be customised with your choice of stitching style.
UPHOLSTERED BUTTONS
Whether it’s a Deep Button or a Float Button; matching colours or contrasting – the buttons are integral to the look and feel of the seating. We produce the bespoke upholstered buttons in-house, in your upholstery cover of choice.
GLASS & METAL BUTTONS
Our exciting ranges of cut class, crystal and metal buttons can be incorporated into any of our buttoned seating styles. We find that metal buttons complement leather upholstery covers particularly well for a truly rustic feel.

We source thousands of upholstery covers in a variety of colours, patterns, textures and materials. The upholstery covers within our library of trusted suppliers are produced for contract use – so you can be sure they are durable, reliable, and of the highest quality.
Why not harmonise two different covers within your seating to give your project a design edge? Many of our seating styles allow for a combination of covers for the different panels or backs and seats. We can also combine multiple upholstery materials to make up a singular element (e.g. a Deep Button seating back cover comprised of three different colours).
