Atlas Contract Furniture was entrusted by WFC, specialist fit out contractor, with the manufacture of bespoke banquette and booth seating for the new restaurant of top restauranteur Jeremy King.
The brief was to create seating that would help deliver a distinct culinary experience for guests at the Park Modern building situated adjacent to Hyde Park.
We were tasked with creating a mix of shaped benches, including C-shaped bar banquettes, over 4m long L-shaped banquette seating and booth seating to accommodate tables for up to eight guests. The style was primarily a classic plain back in our standard seating profile, however piping detailing and wooden legs kept the seating from being anything but basic. Some seats were upholstered in rich caramel-toned leather while others were covered in a soft velvet.
The combination of colours and fabrics meet the original brief from Jeremy King who was looking for "tones of honey that evolve into sweet caramel throughout the day."
Steve Howle from WFC commented that "collaborating again with familiar teams of this project enables us to maintain continuity and achieve the desired outcomes efficiently."
The restaurant opened in November 2024 and the interior has been described as a "new world café" inspired by large French brasseries, with 21st century design influences.
