The restaurant at the Red Lion Hotel provides diners with a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere where they can sit back, relax and watch the world pass by.
Requirement
As part of the hotel’s bar and restaurant refurbishment, the client contacted Atlas Contract Furniture to design banquette seating solutions that would complement the venues cool and airy look, while providing comfortable bench seating for guests to enjoy.
What we did
The venue's decor features light tones that perfectly complement the exposed oak beams. It was important to the client that we design their banquette seating using light coloured fabrics that would add enough colour to make an impact but subtle enough that the restaurant remains light and airy. We designed a high-backed bench seat with a floating buttoned back in a soft lime green soft upholstery. The banquette seating looks perfect paired with the different textured and coloured chairs used and dark mahogany table tops.
Result
We successfully delivered subtle banquette seating that still provides an essence of vibrancy to the cool and airy space of the hotel’s restaurant. The coloured upholstery and high floating button backed seating gives the dining space a focal point without detracting from the stunning exposed oak beams of the venue.
