We were presented with an exciting brief from Barclay Briggs Interior Design to manufacture and fit an array of banquette benches for Hammond's Wine Bar and Restaurant in Oxted. It was a pleasure to work on this project and the result speaks for itself, with the space being acknowledged as a finalist in the SBID Awards 2024.
The venue consists of a ground floor bar where we provided a mix of circular booths, short and long straight banquettes and L-shaped banquette seating. Placed against the walls and bar, the ground floor banquette seating perfectly outlines the perimeter of the room in a fluted back style. Upholstered in a blue leather with linen fabric lining the top of the banquettes, the seating helps create the art deco spirit the design called for.
The first floor of the venue houses a fine dining restaurant where we built and installed an L-shaped banquette as well as a circular U-shaped booth. Here the deep crimson upholstery cover sets a decadent atmosphere, with a luxurious mix of real leather on the base and velvet on the backs of the seating.
